#298 Leftover Chinese food



Growing up in the Saibil household, ordering Chinese food was a part of our tradition. We’ve already discussed this in a previous blog. However, what we didn’t talk about was what you do with all the leftover food. Do you throw it away? Absolutely not. My husband likes to put it all away in separate containers. I have a different strategy. I take out a large Tupperware container, and literally, throw all remaining dishes inside. We’re talking about mixing spare ribs with sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, noodles, beef and broccoli. Yes, the sauces will all be mixed together. Yes, it will taste amazing when you heat it up in the microwave for two to three minutes. And yes, you just might enjoy it even more the next day. As long as you keep the egg rolls separate, you should be good to go. So don’t feel bad about over ordering because you get to enjoy it all the very next day.
