Sitting in the waiting room at the doctor’s office when a beautiful 18 month old little boy waddles over in an adorable pair of jeans and sweater. He sits down across from you with his mommy and looks at you before showing you his big smile. You smile back, which then causes him to slide down from his mother’s chair, walk over to you, and proceed to put his head in your lap while he puts his arms around your belly. That’s when the oxytocin kicks in hard and you think you’ve died and gone to heaven. He goes back to his mommy, but makes his way back to you two more times and rests his head on your belly while giving you a hug. You consider stealing him but his mother is literally right across from you. So you politely ask her if she would be interested in off-loading one child. She laughs but sadly declines. They say holding your child is the best feeling in the world. But this moment was seriously magical.
