They are so squishy and their legs are like succulent chicken wings. It’s nearly impossible to not to bite them. But you refrain, because that’s cannibalism, and it’s illegal. So instead you kiss them and squish them as much as you can. And then one day out of the blue, she raises her arms up for you, and wraps those tiny chunked-out arms around your neck pulling you in tight. You hold your breath, not wanting it to end, and think to yourself, now I know what heaven must be like.
